Bank Indonesia Museum is a museum in Jakarta, Indonesia, located on Jl. Pintu Besar Utara # 3, West Jakarta (front of station Kota Beos), the building occupies an area of the former Bank Indonesia which is a city of cultural relics De Javasche Bank of wing neo-classical style, combined with local influence, and was first built in 1828 .
The museum presents the information role of Bank Indonesia in the course of the nation's history that began before the arrival of the west in the archipelago until the establishment of Bank Indonesia in 1953 and the policies of Bank Indonesia, including also the background and impact of Bank Indonesia policy for the community until 2005. Presentation is packed in such a way to utilize modern technology and multi media, such as electronic displays, static panel, plasma televisions, and thus creating a diorama to enjoy the convenience of visitors in the Museum of Bank Indonesia. There are also a collection of facts and artifacts in the period before the establishment of Bank Indonesia, as in the kingdoms of the archipelago, which include money numismatic collection is displayed as well as attractive.
Bank Indonesia Museum is open every day except Monday and national holidays and visit it free of charge.
